Zip line used in attempt to smuggle drugs across the border

On Wednesday morning, Nov. 29 Border Patrol brokers with the Douglas Station seized 10 bundles of marijuana and arrested an individual after they tried to smuggle medicine throughout the border utilizing a zipper line.
It was brokers utilizing surveillance know-how that detected the suspect who was just a few ft from the border. Based on a CBP launch the suspect was trying to hide themselves in a vacant lot on the east aspect of Douglas. When brokers arrived on the scene they discovered the drug bundles and an 18-yr-previous suspect recognized as a resident of Douglas.
After a search of the world, BP brokers reported discovering a zipper line hooked up to a tall constructing south of the border in Agua Prieta Sonora, Mexico. BP brokers notified regulation enforcement in Mexico, who then searched the world on the zip line’s level of origin. They reported discovering no additional suspects.
The bundles of marijuana, weighing greater than 240 kilos with an estimated worth of $one hundred twenty,000, have been seized and delivered to the Douglas Station for processing. The suspect was arrested and is dealing with federal smuggling costs and can stay in custody pending additional disposition, in accordance with the CBP launch.
