Trump admin awards $1M to Las Vegas for law enforcement costs after shooting

The Trump administration will award the town of Las Vegas $1 million for regulation enforcement additional time prices within the wake of the mass capturing that killed fifty eight, President Donald Trump introduced in a tweet on Wednesday.

“Comfortable to announce we’re awarding $1M to Las Vegas – so as to assist native regulation enforcement working OT to answer final Sunday’s tragedy,” the President tweeted.

The White Home later clarified that Trump’s tweet referred to the Division of Justice’s plans to award Nevada a “noncompetitive grant solicitation.” It’s directed to be spent on regulation enforcement additional time prices, the White Home official stated.

The Division of Justice issued a press release shortly after, detailing deliberate emergency funds to “help with the fast prices of responding” to further regulation enforcement wants following the deadliest mass capturing in trendy US historical past that focused attendees at a rustic live performance on the Las Vegas strip.

The $1 million grant comes from the Bureau of Justice Help’s emergency response funds.
