Snow starts falling on Staten Island on Tuesday morning

10:15 a.m. Sanitation is out salting the roads

Sanitation vans are out in full drive salting the roads.

Sanitation was salting Campus Street close to Wagner School. 

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Snow has began falling on Staten Island on Tuesday morning.

To the aid of commuters, the snowfall held off till the top of the morning rush hour. Flakes started flying round 9:30 a.m.

Slick, slippery street circumstances already are reported on Grymes Hill close to Wagner School.

Forecasters are predicting that as much as two inches of snow may blanket our borough on Tuesday.

The Nationwide Climate Service is forecasting that Staten Island will see a wintery mixture of rain and white powder.
