Sketch released of man police say attempted to abduct Indiana child

FISH LAKE, Ind. — Police launched a sketch of a person they stated tried to abduct a toddler by placing him in a duffle bag in late June.

Officers responded to a name in Fish Lake, Ind. within the 7400 block of East SR four on June 29, the La Porte County Sheriff’s Workplace stated.

When police arrived, they stated the home-owner was outdoors of his home together with his one-yr-previous son close by. The home-owner advised police a person approached him from a car that was parked close to the top of his driveway and requested him for some water.

Police stated when the home-owner got here again with water, the suspect was making an attempt to place the kid in a duffel bag.

The home-owner confronted the suspect, punched him within the head and took his son into the house. He then ran again outdoors because the suspect was driving away.

Police described the suspect as a white male with beard stubble, sporting a white tee shirt and grey camouflage shirts. The car pushed by the suspect was described as a silver or grey 1990’s type minivan, police stated. The sufferer met with an Indiana State Police sketch artist to create the picture of the suspect.
