HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) — A drug bust at an unlikely location passed off this afternoon in Highland Park — Subway.
Police raided the Subway restaurant on Woodward and Manchester round 1 p.m. The raid was a results of quite a few ideas reported to police. Investigators say over the previous few months clients might come into the restaurant and buy weed with their sandwiches.
Through the raid, investigators say they confiscated a big sum of marijuana and cash. Marli Blackman serves as Press Secretary for the town of Highland Park, and says this conduct won’t be tolerated.
“Our mayor and our police chief have zero tolerance for any such conduct within the metropolis of Highland Park,” Blackman advised WWJ Newsradio 950.
Blackman added that two individuals believed to be staff on the Subway location have been arrested in the course of the raid.
