RAMSEY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Residents in Ramsey, New Jersey have been cautioned to remain inside Saturday as bees swarmed the world.

Authorities stated a beehive was by accident disturbed close to Martis and Elizabeth avenues.

The “aggressive” bees then dispersed all through Martis, Elizabeth, Rose, Refy, Armstrong and Maple avenues.

The home-owner that ran the bee colony was repeatedly stung and needed to be rescued by police, 1010 WINS’ Glenn Schuck reported. Police have been stung, as properly.

Authorities requested residents within the space to remain inside with their doorways and home windows closed.
