HOUGHTON, Mich. – Federal officers are inviting the general public to study extra about choices for coping with the declining grey wolf inhabitants at Isle Royale Nationwide Park in Michigan.
The Nationwide Park Service has scheduled open homes for Feb. 14 in Duluth, Minnesota, and Feb. 15 in Houghton, Michigan. For many who cannot attend, webinars are scheduled for Feb. sixteen and Feb. 21.
Wolves have lived on the island park in Lake Superior because the late Nineteen Forties. However their numbers haves fallen dramatically in recent times and solely two stay.
The park service launched a draft plan in December with a number of options. They embrace together with taking extra wolves from the mainland to the island, delaying a choice and doing nothing.
