Off-Duty Suffolk County Police Officer Accused Of Pointing Gun At Three Women


PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A police officer has been arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at three ladies on a Lengthy Island road whereas he was off-obligation earlier this month.

Suffolk County Police Officer Gregory Hanrahan is predicted to be arraigned on three counts of menacing Tuesday.

Police say the incident allegedly occurred Nov. 5 at about 1:forty five a.m. on West Essential Road in Patchogue. They didn’t present different particulars.

It was not instantly clear if the handgun allegedly used within the altercation was police-issued.

The 32-yr-previous, who has been an officer with the division for 2 years, was suspended with out pay and his weapons have been seized.

A division inner investigation can also be underway.
