MSP: Speed possible factor in deadly Montcalm Co. crash


FAIRPLAIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a person was killed in a single-car crash in Montcalm County early Tuesday morning.

It occurred round 1:30 a.m. on Fenwick Street close to Miller Street in Fairplain Township, east of Greenville.

Michigan State Police stated a person was driving eastbound when he misplaced management, went off the street and struck some timber.

The driving force, 21-yr-previous Kevin Michael Cantrell of Fenwick, was pronounced lifeless on the scene, based on a MSP information launch.

Cantrell was sporting a seat belt on the time of the crash. Troopers consider velocity might have been an element, the discharge stated.

The crash stays underneath investigation.
