MSP: Berrien County man killed in farming accident

BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan State Police say a farming accident killed a Berrien County man.

It occurred within the 9400 block of Territorial Street in Berrien County’s Bainbridge Township, east of Benton Harbor.

Troopers say sixty two-yr-previous Rafael Alonzo Zarate of Watervliet was chopping corn stubble in a subject with a “brush hog.” MSP say Zarate reached throughout the facility takeoff portion of the machine and his clothes turned wrapped within the mechanism, pulling him in.

It’s unclear what time the accident occurred as a result of Zarate was alone. He was final seen alive early Wednesday morning; troopers have been referred to as to the scene round 7:20 that night time.
