Michigan State Basketball Trainer Charged In Deadly Crash

MONROE (WWJ/AP) – A member of the Michigan State College basketball employees is being charged for his position in a lethal crash this summer time alongside US-23 in Monroe County.

In accordance with prosecutors, Todd Moyer, a conditioning coach for the MSU males’s basketball staff, was driving whereas distracted July 14th when his pickup crashed into a number of automobiles and killed two individuals — Gladys Johnson, 35, and her 5-yr-previous daughter Za-Kira.

Prosecutors say Moyer, 37, was texting whereas driving. He was arraigned Monday on a cost of reckless driving inflicting dying, punishable by as much as 15 years in jail.

Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis says in a press release that his workplace is monitoring the case and Moyer isn’t touring with the workforce Tuesday.
