FRESNO COUNTY (KFSN) —
A person was rescued from a car after a driver lost control and landed in a canal in Fresno County.
Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies and fire crews responded to a car into a canal just before five Thursday morning at Belmont and Westlawn.
CHP said the car crashed for unknown reasons and landed in two feet of water. Firefighters were able to pop the door open and rescue the driver.
The extent of the driver’s injuries were unknown but authorities said he was talking when rescuers pulled him out.
An investigation is now underway into why the driver lost control of the car.
