PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) — The person who shot at authorities throughout an almost 15-hour standoff final summer time has been convicted of all 15 legal expenses he confronted.
In Van Buren County Circuit Courtroom Thursday, a jury discovered Jason Kohlhoff responsible of 14 felonies — together with six counts of tried homicide — and one misdemeanor.
The standoff began on the morning June 14, 2016 alongside sixtieth Road in rural Geneva Township, about eight miles east of South Haven. Kohlhoff opened hearth no less than 4 occasions that day. It wasn’t till the early hours of June 15 that he gave himself up.
Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 20. Kohlhoff faces life in jail.
