Jury in NYC jail guard union case says it's deadlocked

NEW YORK (AP) — Jurors who complained of a impasse will resume deliberations Wednesday on the bribery trial of the previous head of the nation’s largest municipal jail guard union.

The Manhattan federal courtroom jury stated in a notice Tuesday that it was caught in its dialogue of expenses towards fifty seven-yr-previous Norman Seabrook.

Decide Andrew Carter directed the jurors to maintain an open thoughts and proceed to deliberate. They deliberated till mid-afternoon.

Seabrook has been on trial for the previous month on expenses that he accepted a $60,000 bribe in return for investing $20 million in union cash with a hedge fund.


Seabrook’s lawyer says he made an inexpensive funding for his union and acted legally.

Seabrook led the union for greater than 20 years.
