Fresno Police Chief: 2 killed close to Woodward Lake “doesn’t look like a random…


FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) —

A neighbor said he heard two pops around 8:00 p.m. and when he opened the door looked outside that is when he saw two bodies lying on the street. Those shots continued officers arrived and realize they had a homicide on their hands.

The neighborhood is packed with layers of tape and police officers, about an hour ago we the SWAT Team entered and try to clear one of the homes.

The two victims were hanging out with the suspect in this neighborhood and they were often spotted together. But for some reason, one of the three decided to shoot the other two and officers are still determining the motive.

“This does not appear to be a random act we don’t know if there’s any type of drugs involved it is not gang related but it does appear all three the victims and suspect were acquaintances,” said Police Chief Jerry Dyer.

The two victims and the suspect are in their 20s.

Police say they have a witness who gave a suspect description and they are close to identifying that person.

In the meantime, the search through one of these homes as well as several other places these young men are known to frequent to try and find the shooter.

The witness says he is confident they will be able to find the person responsible and he wants to a sure the neighbors living here that this is an isolated incident and not related to the violence we have seen and many other parts of the city.
