Fresno Co. death row inmate dies at San Quentin prison


MARIN COUNTY (KRON) — A dying row inmate has died at San Quentin State Jail on Saturday, in accordance with jail officers.

Fernando Eros Caro, sixty seven, died on Saturday at round eleven:forty five p.m., Lt. Sam Robinson stated. Caro was sentenced to dying in Santa Clara County Superior Courtroom.

The reason for dying is pending an post-mortem.

Caro was sentenced to demise for the murders of Jack Lucchesi, Mark Hatcher and Mary Helen Booher and the tried homicide of Rick Donner on Aug. 20, 1980, Robinson stated.

He shot and killed Hatcher in a tangerine orchard in Fowler in Fresno County and drove Booher a brief distance earlier than capturing and killing her in an orange orchard. Each have been bicycling once they encountered Caro, Robinson stated.

Caro then collided with Donner’s automotive, shot Lucchesi and Donner and dumped Hatcher’s and Booher’s our bodies and their bicycles in an irrigation canal, Robinson stated.
