FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) —
A Fresno business known for grand celebrations used the most romantic day of the year to make a dream come true for one lucky couple.
“It is with great joy and honor that to introduce to you, Mr. And Mrs. Alamano,” said
Bobby and Alexis Alamano tied the knot today in a ballroom at ‘The Grand 1401’ in downtown.
The road to the altar was a long one for Bobby and Alexis. They have been engaged for two years and their wedding plans were put on hold six months ago when Bobby suffered a stroke.
During his recovery, Alexis entered a contest put on by the grand.
The business would give away a wedding ceremony to one deserving couple.
Alexis and Bobby shared their story about raising two small children together as bobby recovered from the stroke and earned themselves a free wedding.
“Our story was submitted, touched by our story. To give us the wedding of our dreams,” said
The ceremony included photography, flowers, a cake, a justice of the peace and champagne. All donated by ‘The Grand’.
