TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/NSF) – The state’s highest courtroom has declined to take up a constitutional problem to the state’s voucher program which helps pay for tens of hundreds of low-revenue youngsters to attend personal faculties.
The lawsuit was introduced by the Florida Schooling Affiliation academics union towards the Tax Credit score Scholarship Program, which is utilized by almost ninety eight,000 faculty youngsters.
A Leon County circuit decide and the first District Courtroom of Attraction had earlier rejected the lawsuit, the latter saying the state’s largest academics union had no authorized standing within the matter.
The state’s Supreme Courtroom justices cut up four-1 on their determination.
