Duke Is No. 1 In 1st Regular-Season AP Top 25, MSU Is No. 2

Duke is No. 1 in The Related Press’ first common-season ballot of the 2017-18 season.

The Blue Devils have been No. 1 within the preseason ballot and acquired 34 of sixty five first-place votes from a nationwide media within the AP Prime 25 launched Monday after profitable their first two video games.

No. 2 Michigan State acquired thirteen first-place votes, No. three Arizona obtained sixteen and No. four Kansas had 2. Duke had 32 first-place votes within the preseason ballot.

Villanova moved up one spot to No. 5, with Wichita State, Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina and Southern California rounding out the highest 10.

Duke opened the season with convincing wins over Elon and Utah Valley, giving coach Mike Krzyzewski 1,000 victories with this system.
