Detroit man accused of fatally shooting niece to appear in court

DETROIT – Willie Harmon is accused of capturing and killing his 25-yr-previous niece Dec. 29 at a house within the 14000 block of Fordham in Detroit. 

Michigan State Police troopers have been referred to as to the house about 7:50 p.m. Dec. 29. Kendra Gardner was discovered shot within the head. 

Harmon was taken into custody and later charged with second-diploma homicide and felony firearm.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Workplace stated he and his niece have been at a social gathering with different occupants of the home when Harmon turned combative. After a quick verbal argument, Harmon and Gardner allegedly went to a different room the place she was fatally shot, in line with the Prosecutor’s Workplace. 

Harmon is scheduled to seem in courtroom Tuesday morning fro a preliminary examination.
