Detroit Cop Facing Prison For Allegedly Stealing From Car While On Duty


DETROIT (WWJ) – A Detroit Police officer has been charged with stealing from a automotive whereas on obligation at a precinct.

Michael Merritt, forty, is predicted to be arraigned Friday morning on expenses of larceny from a motorcar and misconduct in workplace. Each are felony fees that carry a most penalty of 5 years in jail.

The alleged incident occurred round 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19 outdoors of the Third Precinct, situated on West Grand Boulevard close to the Lodge Freeway.
