Democratic fundraiser accused of shooting gun, yelling slurs

ST. LOUIS (AP) — A veteran St. Louis Democratic fundraiser faces fees for allegedly capturing a gun and shouting racial slurs.

The St. Louis Submit-Dispatch reviews that 38-yr-previous Matthew Lieberman is a longtime fundraiser for former Mayor Francis Slay and different Democrats. Lieberman was charged Thursday with illegal use of a weapon and armed felony motion. One weapons cost features a hate crime enhancement alleging his actions have been “motivated by race.”

Lieberman is jailed on $250,000 bond with no listed lawyer.

Courtroom paperwork say Lieberman, who’s white, pointed a handgun Tuesday at somebody at a fuel station whereas utilizing racial epithets, then shot at a constructing from his automotive.


The paperwork say that in a separate incident at a quick-meals restaurant, Lieberman shouted racial epithets at upkeep staff and shot from his automotive.
