RENO, Nev. (AP) A documented gang member from Stockton, California has been sentenced to as much as 19 years in a Nevada jail after he was convicted of drug-trafficking expenses in Reno.
The Washoe County District Lawyer’s Workplace stated Thursday 30-yr-previous Jeffry Taylor should serve a minimal of 5.5 years earlier than he is eligible for parole.
Prosecutors say Taylor was a member of the Northside Gangster Crips with six prior felony convictions. They are saying the investigation that led to his arrest was prompted by a spike in violence and drug exercise in a Reno neighborhood that was believed to be related to the Stockton space.
Police say he had 23 grams of heroin hidden in a pocket sewn into his underwear when he was stopped for a visitors violation on the sting of downtown close to Wells Avenue and sixth Road on Aug. 31, 2015.
