Brother calls police in deadly I-95 shooting 'trigger happy'

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The brother of a person shot lifeless by police on a busy stretch of Interstate ninety five in Rhode Island says the officers have been “set off joyful” and “screwed up” once they shot him.

Lucas Tiberio tells The Windfall Journal that he thinks his 32-yr-previous older brother, Joseph Santos, was scared after turning a nook in his life.

Santos was driving a white pickup truck Thursday when he led police on a excessive-velocity chase by way of Windfall. On the time, police have been in search of one other man who had stolen a state police cruiser, and had a report that the person was seen moving into the mattress of a white pickup.

It isn’t clear why Santos fled.


Police have stated the capturing was justified as a result of Santos was placing lives in danger by ramming automobiles on the freeway.
