Bambi’s Best Friend? Dog Helps Owner Rescue Deer Stranded In Long Island Sound


PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A tag staff effort by a canine and an excellent Samaritan to rescue a child deer from the Lengthy Island Sound was caught on video.

Mark Freeley stated he was strolling his canine on the seashore in Port Jefferson, once they noticed the fawn within the water, about one hundred-ft from shore.

‘Storm,’ an English Golden Retriever  jumped in to tug it to security.

Freeley left to name the Robust Island Rescue League, however when a staff arrived to assist the fawn it jumped again within the water — that meant one other rescue.

The fawn is now at an animal hospital and is predicted to outlive
