4th Baltimore officer pleads guilty in fraud case




BALTIMORE (AP) — A fourth Baltimore police officer has pleaded responsible to robbing and illegally detaining residents and billing for additional time hours not labored.

Federal prosecutors say 34-yr-previous Momodu Gondo pleaded responsible Thursday to racketeering conspiracy. He entered the plea in federal courtroom in Baltimore.

Gondo was amongst eight officers on an elite gun squad who have been indicted on racketeering expenses alleging that they unlawfully arrested and robbed individuals, and took part in an extra time fraud scheme.

The case has had a profound influence on felony instances in Baltimore. Prosecutors have dropped greater than one hundred instances involving the indicted officers.

Gondo faces a minimal obligatory of 5 years in jail. A sentencing date has not been set.
