400 birds used in cockfighting seized near Los Angeles




LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles County officers say sheriff’s investigators serving two search warrants have seized greater than four hundred birds utilized in cockfighting.

Authorities say the warrants have been served Tuesday in Lancaster as a part of an ongoing animal cruelty investigation.

A number of individuals have been detained on the two places however no arrests have been instantly made.

The sheriff’s division says county animal management officers have been dispatched to look at and look after the seized birds.
