4 children killed in Oregon crash identified

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Authorities have recognized the 4 youngsters underneath age 9 who have been allegedly killed by a drunken driver Sunday close to Salem.

Oregon State Police stated Tuesday that eight-yr-previous Ivan Ricardo Medrano-Contreras, 6-yr-previous Andrus Medrano-Contreras, four-yr-previous Dayanara Medrano-Perez and a couple of-yr-previous Angelina Vazquez-Crisp have been killed along with 25-yr-previous Lisette Medrano-Perez of Molalla.

Authorities say Lisette Medrano-Perez was the mom to the three older youngsters and an aunt and short-term authorized guardian to the youngest baby.

Police say the crash occurred Sunday afternoon when a Land Rover pushed by 27-yr-previous Favian R. Garcia of Gervais collided with Buick Century pushed by Lisette Medrano-Perez. She and the 4 youngsters died on the scene.


Garcia, who had minor accidents, was arrested Monday on suspicion of manslaughter and different costs.

He was scheduled to seem in courtroom Tuesday afternoon.
